General Warranty

Thank you for your interest in the products and services from TAIRIN WHEELS!
This warranty is applicable to original consumers only, non-transferable.
TAIRIN WHEELS warrant all products from defects in materials or workmanship from the original purchase date (proof of purchase is required) 
We design our products for aggressive riding on tough terrain. Customer satisfaction has always been our top priority. And because we trust our products to the bone, we therefore also offer crash replacement. To learn more about our crash replacement policy, please read below.

Hubs Manufacturer Warranty -3 Years

Coverage: 100% off MSRP for replacement - 100% off MSRP for replacement parts

Defects covered by warranty

  • Defects in the hub shell and freehub body that significantly impacts the performance of the wheel. such deformed, bent and out of true surfaces. cracks and deformation (except spoke bedding) in the flanges prior to usage or signs during early use, subject to Tairin's discretion (most likely will be covered unless its clearly build error, crash, etc)

  • misalignment of components and performance issues such as slipping of the ratchet mechanism during early use.

  • Binding of ratchet mechanism or bearings after correct installation on bike due to tolerance issues

Not Covered by warranty

  • Modified, misplaced, misused, melted, improperly installed, or blatantly abused TAIRIN WHEELS products.

  • Modifications not recommended or approved by TAIRIN WHEELS.

  • Superficial scratches or chips on the hubs.

  • Wear from usage, such as bearing wear, freehub bedding of the cassette, and ratchet pawl wear from lack of service. (remember to clean and grease at least once a season - a bone dry non lubricated ratchet system is a system that will wear down imminently).

  • Hub flange damage from incorrectly building a wheel. (such as over tensioning spokes, loading one spoke higher than the others, or cutting spokes off the wheel while having full tension on the spokes. Loosen the spokes first before cutting on a rim transfer!)

  • Rust or Galvanization induced fractures/cracks. Please store your bike in non humid and extreme temperature fluctuating places for long periods of storage.

  • Sales tax, duty, VAT, freight or shipping charges.

  • Other service fees

  • Any warranty coverage expressed or implied by the dealer beyond the provisions stated in the TAIRIN WHEELS warranty literature.

Rims and Wheels Manufacturer Warranty -2 Years

Coverage: 100% off MSRP for replacement

Defects covered by warranty

  • Defects that significantly impact the integrity of the wheel. such as dents, cracks in rims prior to usage or signs during early use, subject to Tairin's discretion (most likely will be covered unless its clearly rider error, crash, etc)

  • If nipples break through the rim during lacing process, ONLY if you havent exceeded spoke tensions above 135kgf. Note that we recommend building wheels with tensions ranging at 115~125kgf. Please rely on a tension-meter when lacing wheels, or seek out qualified wheel builder services.

Not Covered by warranty

  • Modified, misplaced, misused, melted, improperly installed, or blatantly abused TAIRIN WHEELS products.

  • Modifications not recommended or approved by TAIRIN WHEELS.

  • Superficial scratches or chips on the rims.

  • Wheels and rims damaged due to riding far too low of tire pressure for the conditions.

  • Decals.

  • Rim issue due to an incorrectly built wheel.

  • Sales tax, duty, VAT, freight or shipping charges.

  • Other service fees

  • Any warranty coverage expressed or implied by the dealer beyond the provisions stated in the TAIRIN WHEELS warranty literature.

Crash Replacement

Crash Replacement

Our sport pushes the limits of riding performance, and we understand that it comes with the risk for crashes. We want you to push yourself to have a good time, and not worry about costly spills. No matter if its a big or small crash, or how you ride, any results from an accident that impacts the performance of the wheel rim, you will be covered.

TAIRIN WHEELS crash replacement covers rims for 5 YEARS from the original purchase date (proof of purchase is required) and is applicable to the original consumer. This coverage is allowable up to twice for alloy rims. Labour for transferring a new rim requires a wheel rebuild, this cost is not inclusive in the program (build rate is CAD85/wheel for the Yield Point Wheel Build)

Coverage: 50% off MSRP.

Please perform a self-inspection immediately if you crash and significantly impact the rim:

  • Clean the rim surface and look at the finish carefully to search for cracks

  • Press on the rim surface to see if there is any movement in the rim surface.

If you answer yes to one of the above, please submit a crash replacement form for review.

  • Modifications not recommended or approved by TAIRIN WHEELS.

  • Superficial scratches or chips on the rims.

  • Decals.

  • Sales tax, duty, VAT, freight or shipping charges.

  • Other service fees
